Who We Are

Ivory Arrows is a local San Francisco band created by students from the University of San Francisco. Lead guitarist Ed Fu and lead singer Nina Ragonese met in a class as freshmen and began playing open mics on campus. Almost a year later they joined forces with bassist Brett Marquette and continued to play as a band for various on-campus events such as Earth Day and Relay for Life.

Ivory Arrows has played at various Off the Grid and HopMonk Tavern locations, cafes and restaurants such as Bazaar Café and Acoustic Bistro at Osteria, and bigger San Francisco venues such as SubMission, 50 Mason Social House, and Boom Boom Room. In November, the Deli Magazine SF featured Ivory Arrows as their Artist of the Month, and in December, the University of San Francisco Office of Marketing and Communications filmed and released a feature music video of Ivory Arrows’ original song, “Cloud My Mind.”

Allen Stone, The Beatles, and Ella Fitzgerald are a few of their biggest musical inspirations as they create diverse tunes with jazzy and soulful undertones. They released their first four-song EP in May 2013 and their second three-song EP titled "Wish Me Well" in May 2014, which they took on the road with them as they tackled their first west coast tour. They traveled from Los Angeles up to Portland, making stops in various cities along the way. They hit venues such as Amplyfi in Hollywood, HopMonk Tavern in Sebastopol, and Oberon's Tavern in downtown Ashland, Oregon.

Currently Ivory Arrows is playing shows throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and recently released their full-length album titled "On the Way” on March 27, 2015!
